What happens to my photos if I want to stop using Lightroom Classic or stop paying for the subscription?
When you stop paying for Lightroom Classic or stop using it, you can still always access your new organised photo collection on your computer or external hard drive. You will not lose any of the work you have done. Your photos are not stored in the program itself. This is true for the free software programs as well and is one of the criteria for any software I recommend or teach.
Is it safe to store my photos on an external drive?
It is BUT any place you store your photos can fail - a computer, a hard drive or the cloud. That is why you must always have more than one copy. Three copies of your photos are recommended but two is the bare minimum. My process for organising your photos always makes sure you have two copies of your photos at all times. In addition, you should make a copy of your new organised collection as soon as possible. This offer comes with my Backup Basics class which teaches you how to do this.
Do I have to organise my photos chronologically?
No. A lot of my students use a hybrid system which allows them to organise chronologically but also have folders by events, trips, people etc. However, organising your photos by year and month/day is the fastest way to sort out your photo mess because it can be done automatically by software. To make this dated system easier to find things in, I teach you how to assign tags (keywords) to your photos so your collection is entirely searchable.
When does the support start?
The six months support starts when you sign up for the class. However, it resets when you enrol and start the Lightroom Live class of your choice so you have the full six months of support at the completion of the Live class. You may also delay the start of your support if you purchase but cannot start the classes until a date far in the future.
